Welcome Back

March 7, 2022

We announced Friday night at the Convoy of Hope benefit that, after some time away from bluegrass, Robby Boone is back playing banjo with Lonesome Road. It certainly felt like a homecoming being on stage together again.

We are looking forward to trying new material and working on unfinished projects. We will share more information as those plans come together.

Robby Boone on Banjo Trading Cards

February 9, 2022

We are pleased to share that our fellow band member
of 23 years, Robby Boone, was selected to be part of this banjo trading card series from Bluegrass Trading Company.

From his start in the 1970s, Robby was clearly no ordinary player. His Crowe-style banjo combined with his own signature tone is esteemed nationwide. According to one perceptive fan, “It sounds like he’s driving every note with a sledgehammer!

Congratulations, Rob. We could not be happier for you!

Visit Bluegrass Trading Company's website to learn more about the trading card series and purchase the card featuring Robby.

Cabin Fever Variety Show - Sat Feb 5

Lonesome Road is honored to have legendary banjo player Alan Munde joining us on stage at the Cabin Fever Variety Show Fundraiser Saturday night, Feb 5th, in Reeds Spring, MO.

Alan is a 2022 inductee into the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame. From his early days playing banjo with bluegrass pioneer Jimmy Martin to his twenty-one years as an instructor in the Commercial Music Department at South Plains College in Levelland TX, Alan has combined a successful touring and recording career with an equally memorable one as an educator. To learn more about Alan's music, as well as his banjo workshops and instructional materials, go to https://almundesbanjocollege.com/

The show will also feature our friends Emalee Flatness, D.A. Callaway, and Missouri 65. Music starts at 7pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
